Investigation Outcomes

Old Fort Erie – Oct 17, 2018

The team had the opportunity to investigate Old Fort Erie which saw action during the War of 1812 and is the bloodiest battle ever on Canadian soil.  During our investigation of the barracks, we witnessed the lantern swinging under its own power and recorded a spike in the electromagnetic field at the same time.  We continued to investigate the rest of the fort and did not seem to pick up much else.  After reviewing the photos we took, we were surprised and excited to see that we had indeed caught something else while investigating the fort’s kitchen.  We know that there were only two people in the room when the photo was taken and both were behind the camera.

Iron Island – April 21, 2018

The team and guests were prepared for an eventful evening at one of the most haunted locations in the area.  As we were setting up our equipment and developing how we were going to proceed during the investigation, we heard what sounded like footstep above us while in the meeting room. This happened once more later in the evening as well.

When the investigation began, we did get some responses on our devices.  The RIM pod went off three times while it was located behind the furnace in the basement.  The K2 seemed to respond to some questioning but it was not consistent enough to draw any firm conclusions.  MEL meter also achieved some fairly high reading above baseline readings at times.  We even had our motion sensing light go off on two separate occasions in the main hall.  Besides the name “Dave” being heard, the Spirit Box was quiet.  Overall, it seems that we had a fairly quiet night by Iron Island standards but we all had a great time anyway.  EVP recordings are still being assessed.  If anything is heard, we will be sure to post.
